Bonfire Society holds AGM

RYE Bonfire Society holds its AGM on Wednesday March 12 at 8pm at the Old Brewery Yard Club, King, Street Rye.

The Society will review the success of last year’s bonfire celebrations and appoint officers for the coming year.

Before then the Bonfire Society is holding a special fund raising dinner at the Royal Oak, Rye, Foreign, on Saturday March 1 at 7pm for 7.30pm.

Dress is informal but people are being encouraged to wear the red and black colours of the Bonfire Society.

Chairmen Francis Warren said: “People are welcome to join us as new members and help us to raise funds, collect on bonfire night or become a marshall.”
