In Balcombe Road, youngsters were approaching customers entering the Annexe stores and asking them to buy alcohol for them as they were underage.

About 10.30pm the same night a stone was thrown through the window of a number 14 bus by a group of youths who were standing near Collingwood Close.

Nobody was hurt but the bus was stopped and had to be taken out of service.

Police are viewing CCTV footage to see if an offender can be identified.

Sergeant Robin Fuller said: 'On each occasion that the groups of youths were reported by members of the public, police attended, seized alcohol and divided the groups. Anti-social behaviour by teenage youths in the area will not be tolerated.'
