Boy robbed at knifepoint

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed and threatened with a switchblade knife at Newhaven Train Station.

The boy, from Lewes, got off a train at the station at 11.30pm on Sunday. He was approached by a man who knocked him to the ground, slapped him in the face, and demanded money.

When he refused the man waved the 3in blade near the boy s face. He handed over his wallet, containing 20, and the man fled.

The boy was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, but suffered no serious injury.
