'Brazen' bag thefts in Worthing

POLICE have condemned a spate of "brazen" thefts from offices and homes.

A number of handbags have been stolen from The Gala Club, in Rowlands Road, and St Mary's Church, in Richmond Road, Worthing, as well as a home in Grafton Road.

The items were taken while the premises were open over Easter Sunday (April 4) and Bank Holiday Monday (April 5) and from the home last week.

Many handbags and purses have also been stolen from homes where the doors have been left unlocked while the occupants were either in the garden, the garage, or busy outside.

Police are now warning people to lock their doors and windows, even if you are just briefly popping outside.

People are also being warned to hide bags, purses, and wallets so they are not on display.
