Break-in and burglary reported in two separate incidents in Southwater

A toolbox and tools were taken from a garage in Ivy Close on Saturday December 27 at around 12.15am Police have said.

Officers carried out a search of the garage and further enquiries have resulted in a man being arrested.

He has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact 101 quoting serial 0025 27/12/14.

A Westminster Chime mantle clock also known as an ‘8 day clock’ has been taken in a separate incident in Bonfire Hill.

The occupant noticed the clock had gone missing on Wednesday December 31 and it is thought to have been taken from a room at the rear of the property sometime between December 29 and December 31.

Police said it is unknown how the offenders gained access to the home and are appealing for anyone with information to contact 101 quoting serial 0345 31/12/14.
