A Brighton teen has tragically died today (Friday, April 14) after an accident.

Longhill High School student Jordan Jamieson suffered critical injuries in a fall on March 28.

He was airlifted to hospital in London where medical professionals did their best to save him but sadly died this morning, say the school.

A spokesperson from Longhill High School said: “We are deeply saddened to inform our community that one of our students passed away today.

“Year 10 student, Jordan Jamieson, had a serious accident on Tuesday, March 28, in which he fell and suffered critical injuries.

“He was airlifted to hospital in London where medical professionals have done their very best to save him.

“Sadly Jordan’s injuries were too serious and, despite best efforts, Jordan passed away this morning.

“Our thoughts are with Jordan’s family and friends at this very sad and difficult time. We have been in contact with his family throughout this period to offer our support and we will continue to do so.

“We have also offered support to students and staff affected by this tragic event and measures are in place to continue with this support for as long as it is needed.”
