BREAKING: Crews tackling fire at animal barn

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews are on the scene of a barn fire in Mark Cross this afternoon (Wednesday, March 23).

Crews from Mayfield, Crowborough, Uckfield, Bexhill and Tunbridge Wells, along with a Command unit, water carrier and four officers, were called to the area shortly before 2pm.

Upon arrival, it was found the barn - which is around 50m x 70m and is used for storing animals and feed - was well alight. Firefighters are using hose reels and foam in a bit to tackle the blaze.

At this stage, there are no reports of any people or animals being injured.
