BREAKING: Fire at Brighton hotel

Emergency services are at the scene of a fire at a Brighton hotel this evening (Sunday).

Police, paramedics and firefighters are at the scene of the Royal Albion Hotel in Old Steine.

Police have erected a cordon around building, which appears to have been evacuated.

An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We were called at 7.12pm on June 4 2017 to reports of a fire on the 5th floor of a hotel on Old Steine."As of 7.40pm, eight fires engines have been sent to the incident. People are being asked to avoid the area while the fire is being dealt with."
