BREAKING NEWS: A27 closed in both directions at Crossbush

A SCRAP metal lorry has overturned on the A27 at Crossbush, closing the road in both directions.

Traffic is backed up to the Woodman Arms at Hammerpot west-bound, and to Walburton east-bound.

The accident happened at 6.20am today (Thursday, July 1) on Station Road when the 25 tonne scrap metal lorry overturned on the roundabout junction with the A284 Lyminster Road.

The 50-year-old driver has a fractured arm and a head injury.

The road is expect to remain close for some time.
