BREAKING NEWS: Car fire in Horsham under investigation

A car fire in the early hours of this morning is believed to have been started deliberately, according to a spokesperson for the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters were called to Windrum Close, Horsham, at 2.44am, where the blaze left the vehicle ‘severely damaged’, the fire service spokesperson said.

Another vehicle nearby was slightly damaged by heat, but there were no reported injuries, the fire service confirmed.

Crew members used two high pressure hose reels and two breathing apparatus to put the fire out and handed over to police at 3.25am, the fire service spokesperson added.

Police said the investigation was ongoing and a spokesperson was not able to comment further at this time.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service could not specify an exact cause, but said the fire was believed to have been ‘deliberate ignition’.
