BREAKING NEWS: Chichester crash closes A27 in both directions

A CAR has crashed into the A27 central reservation and the road is closed in both directions.

The fire brigade was called just after 2.15pm today (December 2) to the A27 between the Portfield roundabout and Oving crossroads.

Two cars are involved and one man is being treated at the scene.

The Chichester by-pass was closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land.

The entire stretch of the A27 between the A285 Halnaker junction and the A259 Bognor Road junction has now been closed as of 3.05pm.

Paramedics and police are also at the scene.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service there was no one trapped in any of the vehicles.
