BREAKING NEWS: Consultant at Conquest Hospital charged with sexual assault on teenage girl
A consultant at the Conquest Hospital has been charged with three offences of sexual assault on a teenage girl.
Jayaram Pai, 45, of The Spinney, Battle, was charged with the offences on a girl aged 16, an out-patient at the hospital on February 28, 2013. Dr Pai is a consultant paediatrician employed by the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. He is due to appear at Hastings Magistrates Court on February 11. The charges, authorised this month by the Crown Prosecution Service, follow an investigation by East Sussex child protection detectives.
