Hastings railway station has been evacuated due to a suspicious package, it has been reported.

Southeastern Railways has tweeted that the station has been closed at request of police.

Others have said there’s a ‘bomb scare’ and a security alert.

There are no trains running in or out of the station and buses are not serving the station.

The town centre was evacuated after a bomb hoax in December.
