BREAKING NEWS: Littlehampton woman airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Numerous police were called to The Blatchen at 5.02pm today (Sunday, April 25) following reports that a woman had been attacked by a man.

The Kent, Sussex and Surrey air ambulance landed on a field nearby and quickly airlifted the woman to hospital.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police attended following reports a woman had been assaulted by a man.

"Police are still currently at the scene and a man has been arrested."

Police were unable to confirm what injuries the woman had sustained.
