BREAKING NEWS: Man airlifted to hospital after being hit by a bus in Rustington

A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with what police describe as “serious head injuries” after he was hit by a bus in Rustington, today (Tuesday, March 16).

The man, believed to be in his 60s, was knocked down in Ash Lane, opposite the Santandar bank, at about 3.50pm.

Emergency services are on the scene and have cordoned off the road.

A police spokeswoman said that the man, who has yet to be identified, was transported by ambulance to the Rustington Golf Course, before being airlifted to Brighton and Sussex University Hospital, at about 4.20pm.
