BREAKING NEWS: Man killed in A259 crash at Wick named by police

POLICE have officially named the teenager who died in a crash on the A259 in Wick last night (Monday, September 9).

He was 18-year-old Jeff Stenning, of Dorset Close, Littlehampton, a former student at The Littlehampton Academy.

Mr Stenning was travelling eastbound in a Ford Focus when he was in collision with a lamppost at 9.33pm. He died at the scene.

A passenger in the car, a 19-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

A police spokesperson said: “This was a terrible tragedy in which a young man lost his life. We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to call police on 101, quoting Operation Monitor, or email [email protected].”
