A woman in her 70s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man, also in his 70s, at Seven Sisters Country Park this morning (Friday September 6).
Police said they are investigating the incident and believe the woman and man are known to each other.
A section of Seven Sisters Country Park has been closed along with the car park at Exceat and the park to the east side of the old river meanders, police said.
Detective Sergeant Dave Tye said: “We believe that the man and woman are known to each other and we do not believe that there was anyone else involved in this incident.
“To help us with our investigations we have closed a section of the Seven Sisters Country Park, along with the car park at Exceat. I’d like to thank users of the park for their patience and understanding at this time.”
The car park at Litlington remains open, along with the park’s visitor centre.
