Breaking news: Worker airlifted after Haywards Heath building accident

A man has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a ladder on a building site in Haywards Heath.

The worker, who is in his 20s, was working on a building site near Grosvenor Hall on Bolnore Road.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “An ambulance and two ambulance cars were called to the scene at 11.10am this morning (November 28). The air ambulance was also assisting.

“The man was suffering from shoulder and wrist injuries.

“He was fully conscious before he left the scene.

“He was airlifted to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.”

Sussex Police was also called to the building site.
