Thursday 9 June 2016: Coach Outing on behalf of Brede Friendly Circle. It is leaving the Village Hall at 8.15am. It is going to Saville Gardens in Windsor Great Park including a guided tour and lunch then travelling on to Runnymede to board a boat that will travel along the Thames whist having a talk about the Magna Carta events that happened on the banks that are passed. It will also include a cream tea aboard. The coast of the trip which is inclusive of all the above mentioned is £35.00 payable to Brede Friendly Circle: via me by April 21 We have a few seats available so please contact me ASAP If you would like to join this trip, also part of the Village’s Royal Celebration if you are already booked in then payment was due 14th April.

Friday 15 April: Yoga with Susan in Udimore Community Hall at 9.30am, WEA is at 11.30am.

Brede Farmers Market is from 10am – 12 noon in Brede Village Hall. The outdoor plants were there for sale last week as were the wonderful home made chocolate which I have to skirt around quickly as I am trying to loose weight. Alan was also there with his wooden creations and there were many more stalls of interest.

Brede Short Mat bowlers will be meeting at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

The Jazz Supper at the Red Lion is tonight there is a limited amount of places. (40 in total) They will be running a special A la Carte menu and also wine from Gary’s personal collection will be available. All that and fabulous music from Java Jam! Reserve your table on 01424 882188 Jazztastic!

Saturday 16 April: Ballet Classes are in Brede Village Hall at 10am.

In Broad Oak Methodist Church the Regency Singers will be giving concert at 2.30pm followed by tea. Admission is free but donations are welcomed for church and refurbishment funds..

Sunday 17 April: Church Services are as follows: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, if you need to contact the Father his number is 01424 773125

At 10.30am the Reverend Sam Funnell will be taking the service in the Methodist Church in Broad Oak today. The Reverend Peggy Heim is the Pastoral Minister and she can be contacted on 01424 422350.

Monday 18 April: Age Uk East Sussex Brede Community Club will meet in Brede Village Hall at 10 .30am to begin their day with coffee, games then lunch and entertainment in the afternoon. The day can be split into two now, so if you only wish to go for the morning or the afternoon you may do so, or you may go and have lunch and stay but you must book this in advance. They have a mini bus now so transport is not a problem; for more information please contact Mrs Maureen Distin on 07850 987130.

Whist players will be in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm

The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, the They have some spaces. Julie Piper can be contacted 01424 883464 or mobile 07863599537.

The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane, Beavers welcome Boys and girls from 6 years old they meet from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Contact Cubs are 8-10½ years old and meet from 6.30 – 8.00pm there are also vacancies for children to join, the Contact is Colin Ward 01424 852413

Tuesday 19 April: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am in Udimore Community Hall. Followed by another session at 10.15am. The Brede Painting for Pleasure group meet in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am.

Thursday 21 April: Pilates with Laura at 9.30am with another session at 7.30pm both in Udimore Community Hall. Stretch and Tone with Sally in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am.

Rye & District NT are meeting in Brede Village Hall at 2pm and Ned West Sheering will be sharing his knowledge about Landscape painters. There is a charge of £3 for members and £4 for non members this includes refreshments and the talk.

Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations: All in Broad Oak and Brede wish Her Majesty a very Happy 90th Birthday.

We begin at 8pm and Watch Commander Chris Sands is lighting the Beacon in Water works Lane this evening about 8.20pm and there will be food and drinks available in or outside the Parish Room from Gary of the Red Lion and the Bell Ringers will be ding donging away as well. Do go and enjoy this event we will be doing more to celebrate in June- details to follow.

Sunday 15 May: Calling all Children Teddy Bear’s Fair 2pm – 4.30pm at St George’s Church Brede. Take along your Teddy Bears or Favourite soft toy all sizes welcome. Take along a grown up and enjoy a lovely afternoon with the fun of the fair. Help your Teddy to overcome the fear of heights with a special Zip wire from the top of the Church tower – earning their certificate and a badge for achieving this brave adventurous activity.
