Firstly: this week I must remedy the mistake from last week. You had most of this column in last weeks paper as I muddled up the dates on my return from holiday – sincere apologies Those who wish to give a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Charity in memory of Tara should log on to www.justgiving.com/myloveytara and follow the instructions, last weeks email address is incorrect. I must say how joyfully Brede School Choir sang at Tara’s memorial it was a wonderful tribute for such a loved lady. In fact the Church was nearly full for Helen’s memorial and nearly overflowing for Tara, both these ladies cared for others, putting them first before themselves, I truly hope that can be said of us all.

Keep Britain Tidy Week: 3rd – 6th and it has been decided that we want our Village clean and beautiful before then; so if you wish to join the litter pickers of the Village, we shall be congregating at Brede Village Hall at 10am on Saturday 27 February for a quick coffee and decision where we will go. If you are unable to join us but feel disgruntled about the amount of litter around our beautiful Village then please do what you safely can around your home and surrounding area, and if you are a walker or dog walker perhaps during that week you could also carry a bag with you to collect litter as you go. It all makes a difference and it would be lovely to see the daffodils and catkins waving in the breeze without them being marred by rubbish.
