Thursday 29 January: Sally is in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am with Stretch and Tone. Brede Village Hall management meeting is tonight at 7.30pm. They hope as many people in the village as possible will come to the meeting and give their views on the Village Hall how money can be raised for it and how it can be improved. Who can help decorate the Hall inside and out? It is a big asset to our villages and many of us use it so we must be prepared to help look after it, younger people are needed as many on the management are elderly and although they would not like me saying it, some jobs are a bit difficult for them now. You might be able to spend an hour or two it will make a big difference. Do go along and lend your ear, strength and ideas etc.

Friday 30 January: Brede Farmers Market is from 10am – 12 noon in Brede Village Hall. Brede’s Short Mat Bowlers set up at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

Saturday 31 January: the month has gone so quickly, already snow drops are bobbing their heads in the garden and bulbs shoots are poking up all over the place. I picked two roses week before last for the flower class and some brought open camellias no doubt to the mild weather we had. As I write this the sky is grey, more frost possibly a snowflake or two has been forecast. Do not forget, if you live alone, please, please make yourself known to Lesley Banister the Clerk for Brede Parish Council or one of the councillors. Make sure you know who your neighbour is and make sure your larder is full.
