Friday 26 September: Pilates is in Udimore Community Hall at 9am. Brede Farmers Market is from 10am – midday in Brede Village Hall. A good time to stock up before the weekend with lovely fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. There is also the chance to look around the Hall at the other stalls. Wea Practical Gardening:is in Udimore Community Hall, 11.15am – 1.15pm. Brede’s Short Mat Bowlers set up at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall and would welcome newcomers to their group.

Sunday 28 September: Church Services: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.30am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, at 9am, if you need to contact the Father his number is 01424 773125 St George’s Church begin their Family service also at 9.30am Father Martin can be reached on 01424 883408. The Reverend Neville Barnett presides at the Broad oak Methodist Church for this morning’s service at 10.30am. St Mary’s Church Udimore hold their mornings worship at different times so please look at their Church notice board or in the Parish Magazine.

Monday 29 September: Age Uk East Sussex – Brede Community Club: begins today at 10.30am – 3.30pm. Today there is the usual news, board games floor basket ball and Steve with his guitar will be entertaining after lunch. If any one wishes to go along for the afternoon you will be warmly received and for a small donation you can enjoy the music too. Rainbows meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall, this afternoon from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, Brownies meet from 5pm – 6.30pm for girls 7-11 years old. Beavers are In the Scout Hut and welcome Boys and girls from 6years old they meet from 5.30pm to 6.30pm Cubs meet from 6.30 – 8.00pm. Whist - the players meet at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

Tuesday 30 September: Pilates are in Udimore Community Hall today at 9am. In Brede Village Hall the Painting for Pleasure group gather at 9.30am. Rainbow Trout - the Villagers Evening at the pub begins at 8pm.

Wednesday 1 October: the Brede Mother’s Union meet at Tollfree Cottage at 2.30pm. Yoga: The exercise class gently stretching your limbs begins at 7.00pm in Udimore Community Hall. Friends of St George’s Church Brede, Present Dr John Crook FSA who will be giving an illustrated talk about ‘The Tomb of Christ:’ He is a widely published architectural historian who had unprecedented access to the Holy Sepulchre and the so called Tomb of Christ. This will be a funny and entertaining talk and entry will include cheese & biscuits & a glass of wine Tickets cost 7.50; they are available from Marion Firman 01424 751165 or Pat Whately 01424 883069 I hope you have booked to hear this amazing story.It takes place in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm

Fri 5 Sat 6 Sun 7 of December: St George’s Church Brede hold their Christmas Tree Festival. Please call Vicky ASAP 01424 883408 if you would like to do a decorated tree. The title this year is ‘Christmas around the world’.
