The Village was busy last Saturday as the Fuchsia and Pelargonium society held their plant sale at 10am, part of which was for St Michael’s Hospice. This was followed by Brede School’s may Fair in the Recreation ground. It was very well supported as many people thronged around the stalls. Brede Fire Fighting Service was in attendance and as usual the youngsters loved scrambling around the cab. The serious side of course was informing them of the danger of fire; playing with matches or firelighters. They have a lovely booklet called Frances the Firefly that includes the dangers. Call Chris Sands or speak to one of our firefighters if you would like a copy or wait until the Firefighters Fete in the summer and they’re sure to have them there. Then there was the event in the Rainbow Trout recognising Paul and Tina’s first year in the Village.
