Brede Church to hold Christmas tree festival

ST GEORGES Church at Brede is holding a Christmas Tree Festival from December 7 - 9.

Starting with a concert at 7.30pm on Friday, the Festival will finish with the Christingle Service on Sunday at 3pm and will be open on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and on the Sunday from 10.30am to 3pm.

The concert will include a choir from Bexhill High School, the St. George’s Singers, the Vocality (a local group based on the inspiration of Gareth Malone’s ‘Military Wives’) and a group from Class 1V at Brede Primary School. Entrance is £3.50 per adult and there will be refreshments, minced pies and mulled wine available after the concert and a chance to see the Christmas Tree exhibition.

The Trees will all be decorated by local groups and individuals and there will also be a Christmas Food, Christmas Gift and Cake stall each day as well as a tombola on the Saturday. Refreshments will be available on both days and hot soup at lunch time.

There will be a Grand Christmas Draw with prizes including a return trip Dover Calais for a car and up to nine passengers, family tickets to the Blue Reef and Smugglers Adventures in Hastings, and Eastbourne panto tickets.
