The Annual Parish Assembly is being held in the Village Hall on Tuesday, April 17. Following the pattern of the last few years, representatives of local organisations will be there to demonstrate or offer information about their own particular group.

Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s are running their School voucher schemes again so any that you get would be welcome at the School. Please drop them in to the School or give to any of the pupils to take in. The School now has a recycling facility for unwanted clothing and shoes. Items should be bagged, with shoes tied in pairs. The container is just by the school playground fence and any proceeds from the collectors goes to the school for their general amenities fund.

There are still a few places available for boys or girls aged between 8 and 10½ if they would like to join the 1st Brede Cub Scouts. They meet at the Scout Hut in Stubb Lane on Monday evenings from 6.30 to 8.00 pm during term time. Leaders are also urgently needed for the Beaver Scout and Scout Troops. It requires two hours per week plus a couple of hours per month for planning and some training. Any CRB checks necessary will be paid for. There are Leaders available to help you get started, but the Troops have had to close for the time being due to there not being enough adults to run them. If you can help in any way please contact Colin on 07980-171877 or Rhiannon Oliver on 01424-882037 or visit facebook page: 1st Brede Scout Troop.
