Aaron Connolly gave Albion the lead early on but Romain Saiss’ header, a Dan Burn own goal and penalty by Joao Moutinho put the visitors in control at half-time.

However, a remarkable second-half fightback followed. Neal Maupay converted a penalty, which he won, moments after the restart before captain Lewis Dunk headed home the leveller on the 70th minute.

Albion pushed for a winner but it was Wolves substitute Owen Otasowie who came closest, heading over from point-blank range in the last action of the game.

The Seagulls remain without a home league win this season but it’s a result which will ease some pressure on manager Graham Potter.
