New outdoor Mexican spectacular La Llorona: The Weeping Woman (May 11-14), a modern ghost story set in and around the grounds of Preston Manor that incorporates live performance, video, music, ritual and theatre, will also appear at Brighton Fringe courtesy of Irene Mensah.

Julian Caddy, managing director of Brighton Fringe, said: “Each year we look to develop the amount of bursaries available at Brighton Fringe and I’m delighted to say there has been over £10,000 in support for participants this year, whether through free registrations or the generosity of our partners.

“Times are hard for artists, so whatever support we are able to offer, however small, can represent the difference between being able to put on their event or not.”
