Brighton residents celebrate postcode lottery win

Two Brighton residents have won a cash prize thanks to their postcode.

Neighbours in Albion Street have today (Tuesday, January 28) won £1,000 each after BN41 1DQ proved lucky with the People’s Postcode Lottery.

In a statement, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt offered her congratulations to the winners.

She said: “What a lovely surprise for our winners! I’m thrilled for them and I hope they go out and treat themselves with their winnings.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes to charities and players are said to have helped raise more than £500 million to date for thousands of causes.

The Wildlife Trusts, which looks after more than 2,300 nature reserves and operates more than 100 visitor and education centres across the country, promoted today’s draw. People’s Postcode Lottery says The Wildlife Trusts has received more than £11.3 million through ticket sales.
