“We do one big show a year in Shoreham, including a charity raffle.”

A Holiday on Ice skater for eight years, Dinkie went to Italia Conti academy of theatre arts in London and the Doris Isaacs School of Dance. She went on to perform as a soloist skater all over the world.

Dinkie Flowers Stage School meets at the Shoreham Centre, Pond Road, Shoreham, on Friday afternoons and there are currently around 30 students, aged from three.

The three groups, teenies, aged three to seven, juniors, aged seven to 11, and seniors aged 12 and over, will be singing and dancing during the show.

Dinkie said: “We like to get the teenies in the first half, then they can sit on their mum’s lap until the finale, if they want to.”

All the songs will be from Broadway shows, such as Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, Mary Poppins, Wicked and Cats.

Other numbers include Sing, the official diamond jubilee song written by Gary Barlow, a doll dance by the teenies, a Hungarian song called Gypsy, and a sword dance with a drummer.

“The seniors open the show with No Business Like Show Business and a kicking routine,” added Dinkie.

Ballet will performed by individuals and groups, and everyone will get together for a tap finale.

“They all come on with sequined costumes, you name it they have got it,” explained Dinkie.

“All the costumes are mine and we hope that goes down well.”

Nigel Peters, one of Dinkie’s former pupils who appears in all her shows, will perform several numbers, including Beauty School Dropout from Grease.

Dinkie said: “Nigel has always been in my shows.
