Brothers set to appear in court

TWO brothers from Walberton have been charged in relation to £170,000 worth of gaming duty fraud.

George Gess, 38, and Joseph Gess, 45, both of Eastergate Lane, were charged with the offence at Chichester Police Station on Monday following an investigation by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) officers.

HMRC investigators arrested the men in June 2012 on suspicion of gaming duty fraud after officers seized 86 illegally operated gaming machines from four amusement arcades in Sussex and Kent.

Both men have been released on bail and are due to appear at Haywards Heath Magistrates’ Court on September 3.
