Brrr-ave hearts take bracing dip

SHIVERING and covered in goose bumps, dozens of swimmers braved the cold to take part in the 25th annual Boxing Day dip on Worthing seafront.

Organiser Dr John Bull admitted: It was pretty chilly! I only stayed in the water for a few seconds myself.

"There was quite a severe undertow, so it was difficult to get out of the water - that was the wrost part- but it was all in a good cause.

"Those taking a dip were sponsored and we collected about 630 from the people who were on the beach watching. Around 50-70 people took part this year and everyone seemed to have fun."
