Buckswood is top AIDS fundraiser
Teachers and pupils from Buckswood School presented a cheque to the National AIDS trust this week with the proceeds of their recent Christmas Market. This was the second year the school has run the event and again Buckswood has raised more money than any other school in the UK for this very worthwhile cause.
The pupils and Senior Managers had been moved to help after visiting the Good Sheperd Hospital in Swaziland; where many of the children are treated for AIDS. Headteacher Mark Redsell said “Having visited the Good Sheperd Hospital, I am very proud that our pupils took it upon themselves to raise money and awareness”.
