Budding chefs make cakes in Bognor

EASTER eggs were awarded to children at a Bognor Regis school for designing the best seasonal plates and cakes.

The make and decorate competitions saw plenty of imaginative and colourful ideas created by the seven- to 11-year-olds at Laburnum Grove Primary School.

Headteacher Pip Otton said: “The school discovered we have lots of budding chefs. So the Roux brothers and Delia Smith should watch out because they will have plenty of competition in the future.”

First, second and third prizes of Easter eggs were donated by the school’s PTA.

Mrs Otton and her staff enjoyed judging the fun event and the entries were bought and eaten afterwards by children, parents and staff.

The money raised will be used to support the children’s jubilee garden competition as well as the gardening clubs which will enjoy planting the school’s pots and hanging baskets.
