Bumper takings for new charity shop

THE SARA Lee Trust are delighted with the success of their shop at 50 Western Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, which, in the first two weeks of trading has raised over £1,000 for the charity.

The proceeds from the shop will be used to fund the core work of The Sara Lee Trust which provides complementary therapies, creative arts therapies, sanctuary days and counselling to people living with Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and HIV/Aids living in Hastings, Rother and Rye.

Fundraising Manager, Maria Gonet said:

"In the first two weeks of trading we have raised over 1,000, which we are very pleased with. Jenny Yeo, MBE, and all the Trustees, would like to thank everyone involved in setting the shop up; all those who volunteer in the shop and everyone who visits the shop for their support.

"We hope that the shop will be a good fund-raiser for the Trust in Bexhill."
