Burgess Hill Academy bestow Student of the Year Awards

Burgess Hill Academy were proud to bestow students with their Work Experience Student of the Year Award.

The academy, in alliance with Burgess Hill Business Parks Association handed out the award during their post 16 information evening on September 20.

Over 100 year ten students were placed in companies to gain some essential work experience, within Sussex and the surrounding area, some even travelled up to London.

In order to qualify for the award, students needed to have an outstanding report from their employer.

After they had completed their work experience, they were asked by the Business Park Associated to complete a presentation explaining how they had benefitted from their work experience and how they believe the experience will help them long term.

The winner, Ellie spent her week at Pets at Home in Burgess Hill where she made the most of the opportunity afforded to her and gained valuable experience.

Steve Willis from Steve Willis Training presented the trophy and prizes to the top four students on behalf of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Association.
