They will be joined by other youth bands, including Brentwood Imperial Youth Band and 17th Tonbridge Scout and Guide Band,

Bandmaster Claire Stacey told the Middy they are hugely grateful to Manor Field Primary School for providing them with a new home to practise in - the band lost its previous rehearsal venue in late summer.

They were also grateful to International Logistics and to Birchwood Grove Primary School, which had helped them in the meantime.

She said complaints from neighbours had kept them indoors at Birchwood Grove, leading to problems with heat and lack of space for marching.

International Logistics had allowed them to use their industrial estate car park on Sunday mornings, but the threat of wintry weather meant this would not be a long term solution.

The tattoo will be at the Triangle Leisure Centre, from 6.45 on Saturday October 1.
