Burglar's leap of faith ends in tears

A BURGLAR broke his arm after he jumped from the window of a first floor flat.

The 28-year-old man was arrested by police outside of a home in Shelley Road he is suspected of burgling with a second man, who was seen to limp away from the building after also jumping from the window shortly before 2am on Monday, January 26.

A neighbour described hearing a disturbance at the flat at around 1am and then waking to the sound of police activity at around 3am.

He looked outside to see several officers and an armed policeman patrolling outside of the house.

Police remained at the home until Monday afternoon, conducting door-to-door enquiries while forensic officers scoured the scene for clues.
