Burglars steal £50,000 of electronic equipment from warehouse in Peacehaven

A TEAM of burglars stole £50,000 of electronics equipment by reversing a van through a warehouse door.

CCTV showed a white Ford Transit van backing into a metal shutter at the Digigood warehouse on Tuesday November 8.

The five man crew took a large quantity of cameras, Blackberries and Ipads from the property in Victoria Industrial Estate in Victoria Avenue.

Sussex Police are investigating the burglary which happened just before 11pm.

Officers and the firm’s manager responded to an intruder alarm activation and found the stock was missing.

The exact number of items and the total value is still being assessed but is believed to be substantial.

Detective constable Claire Langley said; “We would like anyone who was in the area on Tuesday evening and saw the van and the men in the area to contact us via 101 quoting serial 1624 of 8 November.”
