Burst water main sparks emergency works in Chichester

Engineers were called to fix a burst water main in Chichester this morning (Friday, March 13).

In a post on Twitter, a resident in Little Breach said homes had been left without water due to emergency works.

Responding, a Portsmouth Water spokesperson wrote: "We have a burst main that is being repaired at the moment.

"Unfortunately we don't have any time scales but we are working to restore supplies as soon as possible."

Advising residents via its website, Portsmouth Water said engineers arrived on scene at 11.25am and the water had been turned back on at 12.45pm.
