MUSIC: The monthly music night will be held tonight at the Pavilion in Burwash Common. These are fantastic evenings when local talented singers and musicians entertain you. Do go along, you will be pleasantly surprised just how talented some on them are. The fun begins at 8pm and the licensed bar will be open.

CONCERT: We are being given another chance to listen to the amazing music from the Warbleton Brass Band tomorrow, Saturday, afternoon in the village hall from 3pm at their Remembrance Concert. They are a very talent group of musicians who love to play music for pleasure. Tickets are £5 payable at the door and is in aid of The Royal British Legion and Help the Heroes. Refreshments with home made cakes at the intermission. We look forward to seeing you all there.

WHIST: The next monthly Whist Drive will take place on Thursday evening at Burwash Village Hall from 7pm. These friendly evening of cards is open to players of all abilities. For £3 entry you can enjoy 20 hands of cards and delicious light supper. There is also a raffle. Thanks to Burwash Parish Council we now have some very comfortable chairs to sit on and some card tables we can actually put our feet and knees under making for a much more comfortable and relaxed evening. BINGO: Next Sunday, December 4, the annual Christmas charity prize bingo will be held. This is a great afternoon that the whole family can enjoy. The fun begins at 2.30pm with lots of festive prizes to win for all ages. The proceeds will go towards the Christmas Day lunch for those who will be on their own. CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH: You can now book your place for the lunch on Christmas Day at Burwash Village Hall. If you live on your own or are a couple or family that will not be seeing anyone on the big day and want to have something different from the normal why not join us. Christmas can be a very miserable time if you can’t see your loved ones. For £5 you will be given a warm welcome and delicious freshly cooked three course festive dinner with extras and wine or soft drinks. To book please call Mary or Barry on 01435 882107.

BOWLS: The Burwash Short Mat Bowls Club continue to play in the Wealden League, division one. Their last match was at home to top of the league Crowhurst. The triples played first with Mary and Barry Taylor and Alan Green winning 13-11 and Angela and Keith Marden and Gavin Wood winning 15-9. After the break pairs Julie Hawkins and Keith Wood lost 10-17 and Cherry Taylor 7 Alec Martin drew 11 all. This gave Burwash another five league points. The team’s next match will be away to Ringmer on Thursday.

CHRISTMAS EVENTS: As Christmas approaches there are so many events happening.
