Burwash

CONGRATULATIONS: Last Friday the wonderful Laura Carver was awarded her BA degree at the Barbican. Laura is a full time mum of two, runs her own fitness business and apart from that has spent the last five years doing an Open University degree to help her further her knowledge of the fitness path she has chosen. Amongst the studying and raising her lovely children she also runs in marathons in aid of St Peter and St James Hospice in memory of her lovely sister. Her aim is to run 100 before she reaches 40 years of age. With the great support of her husband Neil her mum and dad, Debbie and Gwyn Jones, her brother Chris and all her wonderful friends, I have no doubt she will achieve that goal. Congratulations Laura on persevering when you felt like giving up, and finally reaching the ultimate goal and collecting your degree. It is so well deserved.

LOVE BURWASH: Tomorrow, Saturday, Burwash Parish Council are hoping that many of you will turn out to help with their I Love Burwash Clean-up Campaign. They did this in the spring and I have to say it made such a big difference to the sight of the villages. You will be split into groups and given a different area to take care of. Cutting back hedges and grass banks, clean the road signs picking up litter and planting lots of spring bulb. If you think you can be of use to them please let them know, also which area you would prefer to do or if you are happy to go where they need you. Call 07854 699518 or email [email protected]. Hopefully the weather will be good and a lot can be achieved.
