Burwash

Flower club: The Burwash and District flower arrangement club will have their AGM on Monday afternoon at 2.15pm in the Burwash village hall. All members and new members/visitors are welcome to attend. This busy club enjoy workshops, club meetings with demonstrators outings and more. Bowls: The Short Mat Bowls club have got of to a slow start in the Wealden league division two games. They had an away match at Chailey which saw both the triples team lose by narrow margins and the pairs had a win and a draw, giving the team 3 league points. Their next match is at home to the Ringmer Hares. The club has begun it’s Monday evening roll-up nights and would be delighted to see new players coming along. We were pleased to welcome Chris Ryan and Mike Hearn to the club last year and hope they will enjoy playing with us. Hearing Unit: The east Sussex Hearing resource Centre is a registered charity in partnership with Adult Social are to provide mobile information and advice for the deaf and hard of hearing living in East Sussex. The vehicle is equipped to of demonstrations of assistive equipment and hearing screening. The mobile unit will be visiting Burwash on Thursday in the Bear Car Park from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Their is wheelchair access and representatives from both the Hearing resourse centre and Adult social care will be available to give individual help and advice. NSY: The members of the Not So Young Club will meet at the Burwash village hall on Thursday afternoon from 2.15pm. They too would welcome new members to join them. They have a wide and varied programme for their monthly meeting including talks, games, outings lunch and garden party. If you are interested and over 60 you would be made very welcome. Just go along on Thursday or call Isabel Salmond on 01435 882k452.

Pantomime: The Burwash Amateur Pantomime Society are very busy preparing for their next production, Treasure island. The performances will take place on Saturday 6 February 2.30pm & 7.30pm, Sunday Dress up Matinee 7 at 2.30pm. Friday 12 at 8pm and Saturday 13 at 2.30 & 7.30pm. Tickets are from £5 to £8 and are available from The Internet Café or on line at www.ticketsource.co.uk/baps profits to locally based organisations.
