Cards: You have just a few hours left to get your cards in to the boxes for the Brownies delivery service. The boxes are in the Butchers and the store. The cost of posting a card is 20p each and money should be put in to the boxes with your cards. Please write the addresses clearly so that no mistakes happen and if you are in doubt as to whether an address in on the route please call Mary on 01435 882107. The boxes will be collected today at 4.30pm ready for sorting. Delivery will take place tomorrow. Please take care if out and about tomorrow most of the girls will be on foot, give them a wave and a smile as you pass them. All the proceeds will go to the Brownie funds.

Bowls Club: Burwash short mat bowls club will sit down to enjoy their Christmas lunch tomorrow at the Bear Motel. Always a fun, festive occasion the club will use this as their final meeting before the holiday. They are doing really well in the Wealden league with 2 matches in hand they are lying 3rd, just 3 points behind the leaders. They will resume back to club on 4th January at 6.30pm in the village hall. They would be delighted to welcome new members in this relaxing friendly game. Christmas Day Lunch: We are delighted that so many people have decided to join us for a fun festive Christmas day lunch at the Burwash village hall again. No reason to be on your own this day and with lots of laughter and chat you are bound to make new friends and meet up with old. Places are still available and you will be given a fabulous three course traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Wine and soft drinks are all included, you need bring nothing but yourselves. If you don’t live in Burwash no problem, you will still be made very welcome.
