Burwash

Party: The weather held fair for the latest Party on The Green. A small gathering of people got together to celebrate VE day on the Green at Stand Meadow/Hornbeam. It was a friendly affair with people enjoying each others company with plenty of banter and debates. Well done to The Cheshire family they laid on a delicious barbecue and salads. Barry Taylor tested out his new game, which it was agreed would be a great crowd puller at the August bank holiday fair. Well done Rod Clifton for the idea.

Trip: Last Friday/Saturday the Burwash Branch of the Royal British Legion organised a Pilgrimage to Aubers Ridge in France, visiting men from our villages memorials. I have been told this was an excellent trip, very moving to see the row upon row of war graves. The journey and accommodation were very pleasant and the whole event very enjoyable and memorable.

We have games of all description for your amusement. All money raised will go the NSPCC to help them continue to protect those children who are vulnerable and in need.
