Burwash

Postcard from Canada: Our trip to the lake was relaxing and fun. We arrived at the cabin on Friday to find a power failure, so no hot drink or food for a while. The cabin is small but sleeps nine people. This time just me and cousins Gail & Tina in residence. Saturday we spent round the lake at cousin Alvin’s where we enjoyed a delicious supper with fireworks. Sunday was muggy and we spent it next door at Cousin Stephen’s, Monday was more of the same but after lunch Stephen took us out on his pontoon boat and we spent a pleasant two hours on the water. Things took a turn for the worse on our return home when Gail & I discovered her husband Allen had an argument with a tree while on his tractor. He didn’t win. He is now recovering with lots of bruising and severe concussion.
