There is to be another quiz night at the Pavilion in Burwash Common, tonight. Teams of Six are invited to try their brain power against each other and the question master.

There is to be a special Race night tomorrow, Saturday, in the Swan Meadow pavilion, Burwash, from 7.30pm. Tickets in advance are £8 and £10 on the door, and include a bangers and mash supper, with a glass of wine or beer. Proceeds to the Burwash Playing fields association Swings & Things, to buy new equipment to replace the out of date items there now. The Burwash Ladies group meet on wednesday at the Burwash village Hall from 2.15pm. Members will be entertained by Ian Millington, with The Lighter Side of Policing. New members and visitors are always welcome to attend. The afternoon will end with a raffle and tea.

The Not So Young Club will meet on Thursday afternoon in the village hall from 2.30pm. This lively club for the senior memebrs of our community will have a talk on Walshingham and The dissolution of Parliament. A delicious tea and raffle will end the afternoon. Again new members and visitors are very welcome to go along.

The Burwash Flower Arrangement club will be holding a Craft Morning next friday, 16th, in the village hall, from 10am to 12 noon. Entitiled A Parallel Arrangement, with Mrs Tilda Conway. The members of the Burwash common & Weald After Eight club will have a very interesting meeting on Wednesday 14th March (not 11th as in the parish magazine), when they will have an antique roadshow. members are invited to take along an item of interest for valuing and maybe selling, for the expert from Watson’s Auctioneers to inspect. Smelling salts at the ready when that silly old thing turns out to be worth six figures.
