Lewes-based Richard Soan Roofing Services has been short-listed in three different categories at the forthcoming 2014 National Roofing Awards, the industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.

The projects and categories are Crowborough Leisure Centre (single ply membranes); Petteridge Lane, Matfield (roof tiling); and Westgate Mews, Lewes (sustainable roofs solar).

The winners in the 11 different categories will be announced on May 16 at an awards ceremony to be held at The Hilton London Metropole where more than 800 people will be in attendance.

Proud Managing Director Richard Soan described the short-listing as “fantastic”. He said: “To get one project short-listed is excellent but to have three is an incredible achievement and all credit must go to all company employees involved on these contracts.”

In 2012 the company received the honour of winning the Best Project award in the roof slating category for the re-roofing contract undertaken at historic Folkington Manor.

Richard Soan Roofing Services has also recently received the National Federation of Roofing Contractors’s Health and Safety Gold Award (the highest achievable, and for the fourth year in a row) for its attention to the issues and its low accident record in the industry.
