Buzzards on the rise in Sussex

THE number of buzzards circling the skies above Sussex have increased, according to Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT).

Sightings of the birds were rare nearly 30 years ago but now they can be found right across Sussex with numbers close on 300, according to the SWT.

The birds are more mobile at this time of year as they seek to re-establish breeding territories and youngsters take advantage of the thermal air drafts to look for somewhere to feather their nest.
