Café plans for Chichester's Corn Exchange to be decided

A highly controversial plan to change part of the Corn Exchange in Baffins Lane into a café is due to be decided on Wednesday, March 29.

The application for a 150 seater eatery in the Grade II listed building has been recommended for approval by officers, but was called in for a committee decision after it attracted strong objections from residents.

Concerns range from kitchen and ventilation noise and bin collection issues to a lack of commercial diversity in the city centre.
