Cakes and crafts prove the perfect charity recipe

THE PERFECT concoction of cakes and crafts helped to create a princely sum for charity.

Dozens of people attended a spring fayre in Rustington, on Saturday, helping to raise more than £500 for a good cause.

The fayre was hosted by the Rustington Friends of St Barnabas, at the Rustington Parish Church hall, in The Street, and raised an impressive £546, in a matter of hours.

Carole Cartlidge, of the group, praised all those who helped out during the day. She also thanked all the kind-hearted people who donated or baked for the event.

All the money raised will go to supporting St Barnabas House hospice, in Worthing.
